In June, representatives of the Academic Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners of the University of Gdańsk gave a guest lecture at the invitation of Dr. Natalie Sampson. Dr. Natalie Sampson is a scientist at the University of Michigan-Dearborn (USA), her research interests include issues related to the global environmental justice in the face of climate change, health and healthcare issues. As part of the Dearborn Discovery Core program, Dr. Simpson conducted classes for students at the University of Gdańsk.

During the lecture, Dr. Irena Chwrilska and Dr. Michał Pruszak presented issues related to the relationship between culture and the challenges of the modern world (climatic, social) – also in the local dimension, and discussed the main assumptions of the project implemented last year together with Trinity College in Dublin, the effect of which is the publication “Polish for Sustainability? Polish culture and global challenges”.

Thank you very much for the invitation and interesting discussion with the students.
