Gdańsk is a city with a rich history. It was here, in the Tri-City, that important events took place not only in the history of Poland, but also of Europe. Together we watched the film “Wałęsa. Man of Hope” about the 1980 strike and its aftermath.

We also visited the Gdańsk Shipyard. We took part in a walk with a guide who told us about significant historical events, but also about the everyday life of shipyard workers – what is important, also from the perspective of women who, unfortunately, still remain little-known, and yet so significant heroines of the period in which Poland fought for freedom.
