In the passing academic year, our Center invited several distinguished guests, specialists in the field of glottodidactics.
In May, our university was visited by Professor Ałła Krawczuk, the Chairperson of the Department of Polish Philology at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
The main scientific interests of prof. Ałła Krawczuk is Polish phraseology, linguistic semantics and pragmatics as well as glottodidactics. She also deals with linguistic ethics. Our guest is one of the most famous promoters and educators of the Polish language and knowledge about Poland in Ukraine.
During a meeting with students and lecturers of the University of Gdańsk, prof. Krawczuk discussed the similarities and differences between the Polish and Ukrainian grammar systems and their importance in teaching Polish in contemporary Ukraine. Prof. Krawczuk also gave a lecture as part of the “GlottoTalk” series: “Linguistics – glottodidactics: interaction. On the example of the Polish language (for) Ukrainians”.
